It's been sunny all week, it's been up to 22ºc (warm for the UK) and really beautiful. This is the best time of the year, the apples are coming along, the beans are climbing well and the vaseline round the pots and canes seem to have fucked up the snails. Instead of eating my beans they have taken to clogging up the spout in my watering can. I extract them and throw them into the garden below ours, seeing as he set fire to the privet and we never got him back for it. This is my small minded and petty revenge. Heh heh....
But why does it always rain at weekends? It was the longest day and it rained. It's all downhill now, winter here we come.....! Indian Summer...maybe? It's the Broomhead Show and it was cancelled last year for rain, mind you it's Midhope Show next week and it was blazing hot last year with nearly record temperatures of 31ºc last year.
I am an optimist though, I'm expecting a heat wave with 32ºc temperatures anytime now. At the moment it's 15ºc.
Why does it always bloody rain at weekends though....?
